Small but Consistent Changes

Small but Consistent Changes

I truly believe that small, yet consistent changes can have a big impact on your life. Small, consistent changes can have a huge impact over time. If you’re looking to overhaul your daily routine, check out this article for meaningful, and fulfilling habits you can incorporate into your life today.

#1 Park Further Away.

Things as simple as taking the stairs or walking instead of driving down the block can really add up in your daily caloric expenditure. The center of Disease Control and Prevention says that if you spend as little as 10 minutes a day walking up and down stairs, you could lose as much as 10 pounds by the end of the year.

#2 Fail to plan and plan to fail

It’s all about the prep. Make it easy for yourself- once you prep your meals, divide them up into separate Tupperware containers so you can grab and go throughout the week.

#3 No goal is too small

Set a new goal each day for the 1 main thing you want to accomplish for that day.

#4 Power hour

Think of the amount of times in one day you rush from one situation to another, at the end of the day it all becomes a blur or you realise you didn't perform at your best in one meeting or carried over negative energy to another event or snapped at a loved one or weren't present in a particular moment. Carve out 4 minutes randomly through the day (I usually put 4 random reminders in my calendar) and use that it s to do some deep breathing. Focus on what you want to achieve for the rest of the day, how to interact with others and your purpose/why.

#5 The extra push

Try this in your next workout…When you think you are unable to do another rep, take a step back, deep breath, focus and push through it. Safety first of course but give it a try!

At Lawless Health, besides providing you with guidance, we provide you with a community to push you. How long have you been telling yourself, I will make a change to my lifestyle but find yourself stuck in the same cycle week after week? The key to consistency is building momentum and sometimes it takes a coach to guide you with an individualised program, a community to hold you accountable.
